‘Making a Difference’ Award - Coláiste de Lacy Ashbourne Prosper Meath Ashbourne were delighted to visit Coláiste De Lacy to present the ‘Making a Difference’ Award on May 21st.  The prize was awarded to Transition Year’s Scott Cadwell, in recognition of his  support of people with disabilities.   Scott was very involved with the Prosper Meath/Meath Sports Partnership programme in the school and demonstrated such a positive attitude when working alongside people with disabilities.  Congratulations...

‘Making a Difference’ Loreto Navan

‘Making a Difference’ Award - St. Michael’s Loreto, Navan Prosper Meath were delighted to visit St. Michael’s Loreto Secondary School to present the Making a Difference Award on May 21st.   The prize was awarded to Transition Year’s Louisa Okpowe, who helped out with various collections throughout the year including the Special Olympics, the Rotary Club and Irish Cancer Society.  She coordinated the school’s bag pack for the Irish Heart Foundation, raised €250 for the Irish Cancer Society by selling daffodils in her local community.   Louisa also completed her work placement in Enable Ireland.  Congratulations Louisa!  You should be proud of how you made a...

European Parliament Vice President Visit Mairead McGuinness, MEP and Vice President of the European Parliament, called in to our High St Service on Wednesday, 8th May to learn more about our organisation.  She was accompanied by local Councillor Joe Fox.  Mairead spent time getting to know the men and women we support and asking about some of the community projects we are involved in. Local Councillors Visit

Local Councillors visit Canon Row Day Service The Prosper Meath Day Service based on Canon Row, Navan was delighted to host a visit from a number of local Councillors on Friday 18th April. Staff are supporting the men and women with intellectual disabilities who attend this Day Service to understand how important it is that everyone exercises their right to vote. As part of this project and with the upcoming local elections, the individuals took the opportunity to invite the Councillors to visit their day centre where they talked about the role of the County Councillor and the importance of using your vote.  Councillors answered questions the service users had on a number of issues. As part of the project Prosper Meath staff have also supported a number of service users to register to vote for the first time.
