Pride of Place Awards 2019 The Trim Municipal District Awards Night took place on 26th September.  Our community sensory garden won the Community Age Friendly Initiative award. We have been receiving lots of positive feedback from members of the public about the garden and we are delighted that the contribution this collaborative project is making in the community has been officially recognised. Thank you again to everyone in the Council, particularly our amazing Area Engineer Maura who made this possible from the start and to Tony and his team who continue to maintain the garden. Thank you also to our friends in Facebook who supported us in no small way to achieve such a high standard that can be enjoyed by all members of the community regardless of age or ability. Trim Service visit Dáil Éireann Minister Damien English welcomed a group from Trim Service to the Dáil today.  Michael O Reilly, Michelle Whelehan, Niamh Kennedy and Sarah Kavanagh, together with staff member Arlene Toland and Manager Niamh Clavin were met by Cllr Joe Fox and Minister English and given a tour of the Dáil followed by lunch in the Dáil restaurant. Prosper Community Sensory Garden On Friday June 7th Chief Executive of Meath County Council Jackie Maguire and CEO of the Prosper Group Pat Reen officially opened the Prosper Community Sensory Garden in Trim. The garden is located behind Trim Hardware and is open from 8.30am to 7.00pm every day for the public to use. ‘Making a Difference’ St Joseph’s Mercy

‘Making a Difference’ award - St Joseph’s Mercy, Navan St Joseph’s Mercy, Navan  TY graduation/’Making a Difference’ award took place on the 23rd of May. The winner of the Prosper Meath ‘Making a Difference’ award was Grace O’Neill.  She was nominated for her outstanding volunteerism.  She has been involved in a number of volunteering activities this academic year including a bake sale in Bachelor’s Lodge equestrian centre, helping out with the Confirmation in St Mary’s Special School, helping to raise money for Childline, volunteering in Milberry Nursing Home and, as part of the Gaisce award, volunteering in Navan Arch Club.
