Local Councillors visit Canon Row Day Service

The Prosper Meath Day Service based on Canon Row, Navan was delighted to host a visit from a number of local Councillors on Friday 18th April.

Staff are supporting the men and women with intellectual disabilities who attend this Day Service to understand how important it is that everyone exercises their right to vote. As part of this project and with the upcoming local elections, the individuals took the opportunity to invite the Councillors to visit their day centre where they talked about the role of the County Councillor and the importance of using your vote.  Councillors answered questions the service users had on a number of issues.

As part of the project Prosper Meath staff have also supported a number of service users to register to vote for the first time.

Prosper Meath staff and service users would like to thank Councillors Wayne Forde, Padraig Fitzsimons, Sinead Burke, Edward Fennessy and Jim Holloway for taking the time to visit the Day Service.
